Details regarding this website...

What is this website?

This is a personal reference handbook made availible for the wider SHIELD community, it's a side project for myself because I hate google docs with a burning passion. Currently, you are not logged in. (Assuming you are just looking at this page initially)

The website has an mechanism to see what you should have access to. I will explain how this works in this document. However, for a warning.

THIS WEBSITE IS NOT AN OFFICIAL REFERENCE TO THE HANDBOOK, PLEASE VISIT THE OFFICIAL HANDBOOK FOR UP-TO-DATE CHANGES.

Who owns this website?

Hello! I'm Codixer. I'm a system administrator, IT professional and homelabber at heart. I (as of this time) own this website, and use it for my own personal reference to read the handbooks, keep them on the side during patrols (using XSOverlay) and is used as an alternative to the use of Google Docs. And in general, useful for the aspect of "Hey, you have all important documents in one place".

If you have any questions regarding the privacy or use of this website, feel free to reach out.

Requests from Deputy Sheriff+ to takeover this website will be granted. This website is for my own reference, but can be moved on request to SHIELD ownership.

Did you get this past staff?

Yes, I've discussed this with 2 members of staff. By default this website will ONLY show the handbooks I (codixer) as my current rank (Deputy). Furthermore, this warning is posted at the beginning of every book to acknowledge the "this is unofficial" status of this website:

After discussing this with the staff team, this page is classified as "Unofficial". This page is for my own reference to the handbooks (I hate Google Docs with a burning passion). This handbook CANNOT be used as reference at any point in time. And doing so will NOT be counted as an official rule, reference or document.

Where is this hosted?

As of right now, this website is hosted by myself. It's on a server I got for free from work, running Proxmox. This server has a VM for everything. From the login page (Authentik) to the actual documentation (Bookstack), everything is behind a container.
